Multi-Wet Multi-510 is a bromine based alternative to chlorine, that has shown to be a highly effective disinfectant that can control the growth and formation of bacteria and algae in cooling towers and other cooling systems. Multi-Wet Multi 510 is suitable for use in higher pH environments than chlorine and will not react irreversibly with ammonia. The bromine based formulation is also more suited to applications where copper alloy corrosion is an issue. Another advantage of the Multi-Wet Multi 510 is that it can be stored for longer periods of time as it is more stable than hypochlorite.
The mode of action for Multi-Wet Multi-510 is based on a bromine based solution and is suitable in a large range of industrial applications including agriculture, food and beverage, paper, pharmaceutical and waste disposal industries. For optimal performance, Multi-Wet Multi-510 needs to be activated with Multi-52, with specific details for your project, available from a Parkway Process Solutions technician.
Multi-510 is a proprietary chemical formulation that has been field-proven for more than a decade, in a range of applications by Multi-Wet, and is now supplied exclusively in Australia, by Parkway Process Solutions.
