Multi-Wet Multitreat-470 is designed to scavenge dissolved oxygen from feed water to protect boilers, as residual dissolved oxygen in the boiler promotes pitting-type corrosion that is a particularly problematic form of corrosion. If left unchecked, the propagation of the pitting ultimately leads to tube failure. Multi-Wet Multitreat-470 incorporates sodium sulphite, which is one of the fastest acting oxygen scavengers and reacts rapidly with residual dissolved oxygen to form harmless sodium sulphate.
Multitreat-470 is a proprietary chemical formulation that has been field-proven for more than a decade, in a range of applications by Multi-Wet, and is now supplied exclusively in Australia, by Parkway Process Solutions.
