KEY FEATURES
  • High quality air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pump
  • Field proven and tested in Australia ensuring reliable performance.
  • Versatile pump can handle dirty water with solids and range of chemicals

The PPS range of air-operated double diaphragm pumps enables the pumping and transfer of a range of fluids, powders and other media, including hard to flow media such as viscous materials, with significant advantages over conventional self-priming, slurry or submerged pumps.

Diaphragm pumps are commonly used as the lack of moving parts, ensures more reliable performance and containment of the fluid being pumped. The other key advantage is that diaphragm pumps are operated through air pressure (pneumatics), without the need for electrical power, ensuring the pump is able to operate safely in wet or flammable environments where electrical risks are elevated. In most cases, the pump is able to be submerged into the media, if this is desirable for the given application. In terms of operations, the performance of the diaphragm pumps is controlled by simply adjusting the air pressure, which will  impact the flow rate and head.

Diaphragm Pump Selection

The selection of the right diaphragm for an air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump is a critical consideration for safety, efficiency and trouble-free operations. A number of factors must be taken into account when choosing the proper diaphragm that will be suitable for a specific application. Previous experience is always a very helpful guide, but new applications will often require research and outside advice to determine the appropriate diaphragm that will meet specific application requirements and parameters.

Other important considerations include:

  • Pump capacity
  • Specified suction lift, including impacts of viscosity
  • Chemical resistance of wetted parts
  • Temperature range
  • Abrasion resistance
  • Inlet condition, particularly flooded suction and suction lift
  • Fluid pH and other chemical properties
  • Solids suspended in the fluid

Our team at Parkway, is always willing to assist if you have any questions, in determining the most suitable pump for your application.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES
  • No lubrication required
  • Pump can be submersed into the media
