Multi-Wet Multi 57 is a non-oxidising biocide used to treat microbial and biological fouling in cooling towers, cooling systems and water treatment applications, including membrane based systems. Membrane applications include the off-line cleaning of reverse osmosis (RO) membranes producing potable and municipal water, ultrafiltration (UF), nano-filtration (NF) and (MF) systems and a wide range of other industrial and water treatment applications.
Multi-Wet Multi 57 is safer for use in galvanised, copper and steel systems than chlorine and bromine, and is suitable for cleaning up fouled systems where high levels of organics, slime and biomass are present. It should be noted that Multi-Wet Multi 57 is incompatible with reducing agents (metabisulfite), oxidizing agents (chlorine) and sunlight.
The mode of action for Multi-Wet Multi-57 is based on a non-oxidising solution consisting predominantly of DBNPA and is suitable in a large range of industrial applications including agriculture, food and beverage, paper, pharmaceutical and waste disposal industries.
Multi-57 is a proprietary chemical formulation that has been field-proven for more than a decade, in a range of applications by Multi-Wet, and is now supplied exclusively in Australia, by Parkway Process Solutions.
