Multi-Wet Multi-530 is a non-ionic and low foaming glutaraldehyde based biocide proven to be highly effective against a broad spectrum of microbial growths that are often present in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Multi-Wet Multi-530 is often used as a supplementary biocide to complement incumbent biocide programs, such as chlorine. Multi-Wet Multi-530 has been found to be highly effective against bacteria particularly Legionella, cyanobacteria and pseudomonas due to its potent microbial penetration ability.
In certain applications, Multi-Wet Multi-530 may be applied via a shot dose of 20 – 50 mL/m3 of system volume for ongoing microbial control. However, the optimum dosage for effective control will be dependent upon the type of system, its location, the microflora present and the severity of the problem. For a system “clean-up”, dosages in the range 50 – 100 mL/m3 should be used. These rates are indicative only and do not represent recommendations. The most suitable rate should be confirmed in consultation with a Parkway technician, prior to application.
The mode of action for Multi-Wet Multi-530 is based on a non-oxidising solution consisting predominantly of glutaraldehyde and is suitable in a large range of industrial applications including agriculture, food and beverage, paper, pharmaceutical and waste disposal industries.
Multi-530 is a proprietary chemical formulation that has been field-proven for more than a decade, in a range of applications by Multi-Wet, and is now supplied exclusively in Australia, by Parkway Process Solutions.
