The Grundfos DMX 16-12 is a versatile positive displacement diaphragm dosing pump designed for reliable chemical dosing in industrial and process applications. The DMX 221 series combines robust construction with straightforward mechanical capacity adjustment for dependable dosing performance.
The diaphragm is mechanically coupled through a precise gear-eccenter-tappet system to a high-efficiency AC motor. Dosing capacity can be adjusted by varying the stroke length using the stroke adjustment knob, providing an adjustment ratio of 1:10. The DMX 221 design uses double ball valves for capacities up to 50 L/h, supporting reliable dosing performance across this flow range.
This configuration features a PVC dosing head, long-life PTFE-coated diaphragm, ceramic Al₂O₃ valve balls, FKM valve seats and FKM valve gaskets. With a nominal dosing capacity of 16 L/h, maximum operating pressure of 12 bar and compatibility with liquids up to 200 mPa·s viscosity, the pump provides a robust solution for compatible industrial and chemical dosing applications.
