The Grundfos DMX 1120-5 is a versatile high-capacity positive displacement diaphragm dosing pump designed for reliable chemical dosing in demanding industrial and process applications. Its robust aluminium construction, PVC dosing head and mechanically coupled diaphragm drive provide dependable dosing performance for high-volume chemical metering requirements.

The diaphragm is mechanically coupled through a precise gear-eccenter-tappet system to a high-efficiency AC motor. Dosing capacity is adjusted by varying the motor speed using a frequency converter coupled directly to the motor. This configuration is prepared for VFD operation and is supplied without manual control. The diaphragm is fully guided during suction and discharge strokes without spring return, supporting reliable operation in demanding process environments.

This configuration features a PVC dosing head, PTFE-coated diaphragm, PVC valve balls, PTFE/composite valve seats and FKM/rubber valve gaskets. With a nominal dosing capacity of 1120 L/h at 50 Hz, maximum operating pressure of 5 bar and compatibility with liquids up to 400 mPa·s viscosity, the pump is suitable for compatible high-capacity chemical dosing and industrial process applications.
