The Astacus² system is designed for the production of ultrapure water (0.055 μS/cm, Type I water) out of permeate derived from reverse osmosis or deionised water. The Astacus² water purification system is available in different configurations (Reagent, Analytical & LifeScience) to meet the specific requirements of ultrapure water for different applications. 

The Astacus² system produces ultrapure water through a combination of optimized mixed bed cartridges and can be tapped with a flexible dispenser. If water is not used, automatic recirculation within the Astacus² system ensures a permanent high quality of ultrapure water. All components of the Astacus² are assembled in an especially designed housing. The system can be easily opened by removing the side panel to access the ultrapure module, UV lamp and ultra filtration module. 

This model, the Astacus² (Life Science) ultrapure water unit incorporates a UV reactor ensuring low total organic carbon (TOC) values of < 3 ppb, as well as a ultrafiltration (UF) module for improved water quality including low endotoxin values.

The membraPure range of ultrapure water systems are manufactured in Germany and globally recognised as proven technology for producing laboratory grade water, for over 25 years.

ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS REQUIRED

• In order to assemble a complete operational membraPure Astacus² (Life Sciences Model) system, additional parts and consumables are required, as outlined below:
  
• Polisher Module (MEM-190-0087)
• Sterile Filter (MEM-190-0013)

• If the inlet water pressure for the Astacus² ultrapure water (UPW) system exceeds 1.5 bar, installation of a pressure transducer will be required, to prevent damage to the UPW unit. The Astacus Installation Kit is not supplied with the UPW unit, however is available for purchase, separately.
• Installation Kit (MEM-180-0072)
• membraPure Astacus² (Life Science Model) - Ultrapure Water Base Unit (MEM-110-0091), is also available as a Complete System (MEM-110-0091-SYSTEM)
